OCCSA

The Oromia Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (OCCSA) stands as a beacon of economic empowerment and advocacy within the Oromia National Regional State. Established in 2003 under the legal framework of Ethiopia’s Proclamation 341/2003, OCCSA operates as an independent, non-profit, non-governmental entity dedicated to fostering the growth and prosperity of the region’s business community. Serving as a vital umbrella organization, OCCSA unites diverse sectors under its auspices, working tirelessly to champion their interests and cultivate a dynamic chamber that reflects the vibrancy of Oromia’s commercial landscape.

With a steadfast commitment to promoting trade, investment, and capacity building, OCCSA plays a pivotal role in nurturing a robust private sector across the region. Through advocacy initiatives and strategic partnerships, it endeavours to create an environment conducive to business innovation and growth, thereby contributing to the socioeconomic advancement of Oromia and beyond.

Driven by a vision to become a paragon of excellence and competitiveness not only within Ethiopia but also across East Africa, OCCSA adheres to a set of core values that underpin its operations. These values encompass professionalism and integrity, a member-centric approach, operational effectiveness and efficiency, transparency, accountability, the delivery of quality services, visionary leadership, and a steadfast commitment to social and environmental responsibilities.
